247 Leave a comment on item 247 1 B – 長八寸四歩  Nagasa 8 Sun, 4 Bu.  This is the last half of oshigata 247 appearing on the previous page (62).  The edge of the page fold breaks the rubbing in half. This is evidence that this notebook is a converted scroll;  turning a scroll into an accordion book format for easier reading / reference was not an unusual practice during the Edo Period.  It was normally done with older scrolls of an important  academic nature.
