陽の城 (Yo no Shiro) A Castle designed for Battle (during campaigns where clash between the enemy is eminent)
防戦の躰 (Bosen no Tai) Structure of a castle’s defensive measures during battle
草丸馬出 (Kusa maru Umadashi) A blockade in front of the main gate. While it is similar to a Shin maru Umadashi in shape, it doesn’t share the full advantages. This is mainly due to the top right part of the castle does not protrude forward as much as the left side.
三 (San, #3) The third compound. This is short for San no Maru (三の丸).
橋のらんかん（欄干）工板をうつべし Bridge with guardrails, made out of boards of wood
本丸 (Honmaru) The main compound of the castle.
二 (Ni, #2) The second compound of the castle. This is short for “二の丸” (Ni no Maru).
ろう下はし／廊下橋 (Rouka Hashi) A passageway bridge between the main compound and second compound.
片板 (Hegiita) A type of roof with shingles over a bridge.
垰廊下橋竹板にてもよけれも郭を拂（う）ためにやくら（やぐら、矢倉、櫓）の心なり One should stay vigilant while monitoring the perimeter of mountain underpasses with boarded cross-way bridges
